MSG Opener is built for the common situation where you have a .MSG file but do not have Microsoft Outlook available on the device you are using. Choose the saved email and the browser reads its message data locally. You can review the sender, recipients, subject and message body, inspect ordinary attachments, open supported MSG emails attached inside another message, and save useful copies as TXT, sanitized HTML or PDF.
Winmail.dat and ATT00001.dat files are supported through the same opening area. When the file contains a TNEF package that can be decoded, the viewer lists the recoverable attachments without sending the package to a conversion server.

What is an MSG file?
MSG is Microsoft Outlook’s format for saving an individual email and its metadata, formatting and attachments.
Can I open an MSG file on a Mac?
Yes. MSG Opener works in current versions of Safari and other modern browsers without Outlook for Mac.
Are my emails uploaded?
No. The selected file is read by JavaScript running in your browser. It is not sent to MSG Opener or stored on a server.
Can it open an MSG attached to another MSG?
Yes. Choose “View message” beside an embedded Outlook message, then use the navigation trail to return to its parent.
What is Winmail.dat?
Winmail.dat is a Microsoft TNEF package that can contain the files an Outlook sender intended to attach. MSG Opener can recover those files locally in your browser.
