MSG TO HTML

Convert an MSG email to sanitized HTML

HTML can preserve more of an email’s visual structure than plain text while remaining easy to open in a browser. MSG Opener creates a sanitized HTML copy locally and applies the same content restrictions used by its formatted message viewer.

What “sanitized HTML” means here

The exported file removes scripts, forms, frames, active embeds, remote images and live external links. It also includes a restrictive content-security policy. Those measures reduce exposure to several kinds of active or remote content, but they do not certify the original email or its attachments as harmless.

How to convert MSG to HTML

  1. Open the MSG file in the viewer.
  2. Select Save Safe HTML.
  3. Open the downloaded HTML file in any modern browser.

The file is generated in your browser; the MSG email is not uploaded to MSG Opener for conversion.

HTML versus TXT or PDF

Choose HTML when readable formatting matters, TXT when you want the simplest searchable text copy, or PDF when you want a fixed printable view. None of these exports embeds the original attachments, so download those separately when you need them.
