MSG TO PDF
Convert an MSG email to PDF without uploading it
MSG Opener provides a simple local workflow for turning a saved Outlook .MSG email into a PDF. The browser reads the MSG file on your device, builds a printable message view and then hands printing to your browser or operating system.
How to convert MSG to PDF
- Open the MSG file in MSG Opener.
- Review the subject, sender, recipients, date and message body.
- Select Print / Save PDF above the message.
- Choose Save as PDF or the equivalent option in your print dialog.
What the PDF contains
The printable view includes the readable message and displayed metadata. Attachment filenames can be listed as part of the message view, but the original attachment files are not embedded into the PDF. Download any attachments separately if you need to preserve their original contents.
Why use a local conversion workflow
Email records can contain private personal, legal or business information. With this workflow, the MSG file is not uploaded to MSG Opener for server-side conversion. The conversion step is performed by the browser’s own print system after the message has been rendered locally.
PDF is a copy, not a verification
Saving an email as PDF can make it easier to read, share or archive, but it does not authenticate the sender or prove the original message is genuine. If evidentiary or forensic preservation matters, retain the original MSG file and follow the requirements that apply to your situation.
Use the free browser viewer on the MSG Opener home page. The selected email is processed on your device.
